Using Embossed Rolling Pins: Easy Sugar Cookie recipe

Sugar Cookies with Textured Rolling Pin Recipe

Recipe

  • 1 Cup Softened Butter
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Egg Slightly Beaten
  • 3 TSP Vanilla
  • 3 Cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 TSP Baking Powder

Instructions

  • Blend butter and sugar until creamy
  • Mix in egg and vanilla
  • Add in dry ingredients
  • Divide the dough in half, and shape both halves into disks. Wrap in plastic wrap/parchment paper, and refrigerate for at least one hour.
  • Working one disk at a time, flour your work area surface and roll the dough 1/4 inch thick. (I prefer to roll my dough in between two pieces of parchment paper.)
  • Generously flour your textured rolling pin with moderate pressure, roll over the dough until images appear.
  • Cut shapes with a cookie cutter. Check out our latest cookie cutters!
  • Bake at 375°F for 7-10 minutes.

Notes

  • If using our textured rolling pin, generously flour the pin before each pass over the dough, which will prevent sticking.
  • To clean the embossed rolling pin, wash it under hot water immediately after use. Air dry
