Gingerbread cookie recipe from Sweet Anna Jean (Erika Kinsella)
So, I was looking at the last time I posted something and ah...well. Can I blame technical difficulties?
Without any further a do...let's talk about gingerbread cookies! Met a professional baker online and she was generous to share her gingerbread cookie recipe. I baked a few dozen and oh my...she wasn't kidding when she said they were delish. On top of all that, our rolling pins worked perfectly! Take a peek.
If you look closely, you can see she used luster paint to paint a few leaves. Beautiful!
Here's the recipe from Sweet Anna Jean:
Ingredients:
- 1 egg
- 1 cup molasses
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 5 cups flour
- 2 tsp ginger
- 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp cloves
- 1/2 tsp salt
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and molasses. Sift together dry ingredients and gradually add to wet mixture. Divide dough into two disks and wrap in plastic wrap or between parchment paper then refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Bake 350F for 9-11 minutes.
